Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. An RFID tag can be incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification using radiowaves.

The bottom line is that RFID is now being used for security, safety, error prevention, anticounterfeiting, cost reduction, increasing sales, entertainment, crime prevention, customer convenience and art and there is more to come. It is rather as if we had just invented the wheel… or paper.

Hi-O or Highly Intelligent Opening!

The core of the Hi-O concept is an information data bus, connecting all the door devices to each other instead of a central door controller. The intelligence is built into each and every device instead of centralized in one dedicated logic unit.

With Hi-O, door locks, card readers and other door hardware connect to the same databus making installation quick and easy. The main benefit for customers is that the Hi-O system is easily connected to their access control system and the intruder alarm system. It’s also simple to add hardware at a later stage, such as extra locks or an automatic door opener.
